PATRICK SHERIDAN, tubist

One of the most celebrated soloists in his instrument’s history. He has performed more than 3,000 concerts in over 50 countries in venues ranging from the White House to NBA half-time shows to the Hollywood Bowl.  Also, the co-author of the book "The Breathing Gym".

MANIACAL 4
Winners of the 2012 International Trombone Festival Quartet Competition

An internationally acclaimed group of 'four great musicians telling one unified, inspiring musical story after another'. Hailed as 'a force to be reckoned with,' they have played concerts on three continents, entertaining audiences with a wide range of styles and time periods. Well versed in classical, jazz, latin and rock music, M4 is also at home playing with a rhythm section or other media. M4 performs its concerts almost exclusively from memory, projecting a'clear, unified, uplifting and committed musical vision on par with great CHAMBER ensembles.' With all four members early in their musical careers, 'M4 has the goods to become one of the finest trombone quartets performing today.' Maniacal 4 is sponsored by Buffet Group USA and performs exclusively on Antoine Courtois Paris trombones.

KEVIN FINAMORE, trumpet
Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Kevin Finamore joined the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree in music from the North Carolina School of the Arts and a master's degree in music from The Juilliard School. Finamore has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, New Jersey Symphony and with the Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship Orchestra. Finamore is currently second trumpet with the Sun Valley Summer Music Festival.

BRIAN BROWN, horn

Brian Brown is an active freelance horn player in the DFW area. He serves as Principal Horn of the East Texas Symphony, and performs regularly with the Dallas Opera Orchestra, Fort Worth, Plano, Waco, and Irving Symphonies and with the Dallas Wind Symphony. Additionally, he has performed in several productions with Dallas Summer Musicals and Casa Manana Theatre, and in numerous recording sessions and chamber ensembles. 

He was featured as a soloist twice with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra - in 2008 performing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Wind Quartet and Orchestra, and in 2010 performing Strauss's Horn Concerto No. 1.  Brian studied with Dr. William Scharnberg at the University of North Texas.

BLAST OF BRASS Ensemble

Designed to be a demonstration ensemble for the conference, this ensemble sets the standard for the conference.  Every year we perform a major concert featuring that year's Featured Artist as a soloist and ensemble member.  The BOB Ensemble consist of 4-6 trumpet, 4 horn, 4 trombone, euphonium, 2 tuba, and percussion.

Members include major artists from around the Dallas / Ft. Worth area...including members from the Dallas Opera Orchestra, Dallas Wind Symphony and many other top ensembles.
